POTLUCK LUNCH "FELLOWSHIP SUNDAYS"

Our bright new Community Room inspires more gathering, more connecting, more events, more celebrations after a damaging flood in 2021. More potluck luncheons, too.

COFFEEHOUSES

A time to connect with neighbors, listen to local musicians, see kids' amazing art from the Brett School down the road, pay attention to a timely presentation...and enjoy coffee, tea, and cookies.

May 2024. Climate activist Kendra Ford of 350.org presented "Finding Your Place in the Climate Community." Guests filled the art wall hills with trees.

December 2024. UUFES hosted a standing-room only “Winter Landscape Coffeehouse,": kicking off a year of a community-wide, creative response to climate change. Tamworth musicians sang, the Brett School displayed students' art, and speakers from Tamworth organizations shared why and how climate change mattered to them. The art wall reappeared with a mural created by Cook Library’s Peggy Johnson and Lucy Gatchell - guests populated it with haikus and critters.

October 2023.  Our Open House celebrated this elegant building - originally the Tamworth School, built in 1905 - a participatory event in which visitors added their experiences of this building over the years on a huge drawing of our Meeting House. The “art wall” was born!

September 2023. The Welcoming Congregations Committee - which strives for radical inclusion and spaces that honor every part of our identities, backgrounds, and experiences - invited members of LBGTQIA+ communities to an Inclusivi-Tea and Coffeehouse. A speaker reported on recent legislation in Concord, local musicians played, and dinner was served.
