UUFES Social Action Out in the World

 

Some of the ways UUFESians put their faith into action:

• Letter-writing campaigns after Sunday services

• Canvassing

• Packing food monthly for End 68 Hours of Hunger

• Getting involved in local and state government

• Running for public office:  UUFES Friend David Paige currently serves as State Rep (elected 2022). Longtime UUFES Member Ed Butler served as State Representative for fourteen years (2006-2020).

• Testifying in Concord for transgender rights

• Supporting legislation for death-with-dignity laws

• Marching/Protesting for justice:  immigrant rights, climate action, racial justice 

• Contacting senators and representative about issues of interest or concern

• Joining "Veterans Stand for Standing Rock" - protesting the Dakota Access Pipeline in North Dakota

• Donating food and household supplies to local food pantries

• Indivisible NH Citizens In Action for Democracy

• NH Rebellion
